Ukraine And Hungary Agree To Hold A Round Of Consultations

Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga has agreed with his Hungarian counterpart Anita Orban to hold a round of Hungarian-Ukrainian consultations at the expert level as early as this week.
This was reported by European Pravda.
Sibiga said that during a telephone conversation with Orban, he confirmed that Ukraine is ready to "open a new, mutually beneficial page in Ukrainian-Hungarian relations" without delay.
"We are ready to cooperate with the new Hungarian government on all issues on our bilateral agenda, including the topic of national minorities, in order to restore trust and good neighborly relations between our countries," the Ukrainian foreign minister said.
The ministers agreed to hold a round of Hungarian-Ukrainian consultations at the expert level as early as this week to "find practical and reliable solutions for the Hungarian minority in the Transcarpathian region, which will benefit both countries and our bilateral relations."
They also discussed broader regional, European and international issues.
"I touched on Ukraine's path to EU accession and once again emphasized our readiness to open the negotiation clusters as soon as possible," Sibiga added.
