Russians From Irkutsk Region Ask Xi Jinping To Build Them A School

Residents of the Irkutsk region have recorded a video appeal to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who was suggested to ask Chinese President Si Jinping to build a school in the region. According to local residents, the existing educational institutions are overcrowded, while there is no money in the budget for the construction of new ones.

The authors of the appeal said that about 2 thousand children from the Berezovoye neighborhood have to go to classes in the settlements of Markova and Lugovoye. At the same time, as early as 2022, the number of students in the Markovo school was twice the designed capacity.

"Active development of cultural ties with China is the only possible way for us to develop in conditions when our country's priorities are somewhere in the zone of building new [metro stations] in Moscow and new schools in Tajikistan," the Telegram channel "Beware the news".
