Nuclear Warning For Lukashenko

Nuclear Warning For Lukashenko

Macron responded to the blackmail.

Russian-Belarusian exercises with elements of nuclear deployment, although they did not cause panic in neighboring European capitals, but significantly raised the degree of tension between the dictatorial union and the EU, writes "Salidarnasts".

The piquancy of the situation is that after the Euro-Atlantic unity began to give more and more cracks, the European Union has virtually the only subject left with its own nuclear weapons - France.

There is, of course, still Great Britain and American nuclear weapons, which should cover the security of Europe within the framework of NATO obligations, but we all see what is happening to NATO now.

In accordance with the Constitution of the French Republic, since the time of de Gaulle, it is the president who is the only authorized person who can order the use of nuclear weapons. French nuclear power is relatively compact - no more than 400 warheads - and does not aspire to parity with the Russian Federation or the United States, but it has sufficient potential to deliver a destructive strike against an aggressor.

The beauty and elegance of France's nuclear doctrine is that the French do not prescribe "red lines" and clear barriers to the use of nuclear weapons. This allows them to maneuver and balance their deterrence.

What's more, France's nuclear forces are not part of NATO's Integrated Nuclear Command, which means they can play their own game without coordination with the United States and the United Kingdom, the other nuclear weapons holders in NATO.

And the most interesting thing in the French doctrine is the admission of a pre-emptive nuclear strike to "protect vital interests," which may include the security of Europe, which Emmanuel Macron hints at quite clearly in his statements.

So, Macron's unprecedented call to Lukashenko is, in fact, a warning about the direct consequences of nuclear blackmail attempts by the dictatorial union.

I suppose that familiarization with the concept of a "preventive nuclear strike" on the notional Osipovichi, from where Putin is now threatening Europe with Lukashenko's hands, should cool down the hotheads on the Moscow side of the barricades.

And for Lukashenko it is a reminder that if you really want to become a subject in the nuclear game, you should be ready for a strike on your territory without waiting for the moment when you realize your threats.
