New photos from the city, according to Crimean Wind, only further confirmed the original conclusion.
"It looks like the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet Air Force is really 'lit up'," the channel writes.

"Ambulances are on their way to the center of Sevastopol from different parts of the city, subscribers report. Recall, there are two fires there - in the area of Sevastopol Bay and in the area of the Black Sea Fleet Air Force headquarters," Crimean Wind noted at around 06:30.

The Telegram channel Exilenova+ meanwhile reported that it was also loud in occupied Simferopol.
"Explosions are reported in Simferopol," it said, accompanying the message with a video from the scene.
A "Crimean Wind" reported Russian air defense operations in the area of Tavricheskaya TPP near Simferopol (photo taken at 05.02).

According to the channel, smoke could be seen in the sky after the explosions, and "cars with sirens" - either ambulances or firefighters - rushed through the city.
