Traffic on this route, which is of strategic importance to Russia, has been blocked.
The bridges leading toward Chongar have once again been attacked. Traffic toward the "Dzhankoy" vehicle checkpoint in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region has been blocked.
On the night of Saturday, June 13, bridges in the Kherson region were attacked. This was stated the so-called “governor” appointed by the occupiers Vladimir Saldo.

According to him, following the strike on the bridges, traffic toward the "Dzhankoy" checkpoint has been blocked.
In addition, the bridge connecting the occupied city of Henichesk with the Arabat Spit was damaged. Traffic on this structure is now operating in reverse mode.
Later, Saldo clarified that a railway bridge in Chongar had been damaged, and on the Henichesk–Strelkovoye highway, the bridge deck over the Promoina Strait had been damaged.
In social media posts, Russians are complaining that Chongar is currently closed to all types of transport. Passenger cars are being turned back at Novooleksiyivka and rerouted through Armiansk.
The Ukrainian command has not yet commented on the reports of strikes on the bridges.
Strikes on the Chongar Bridge
On June 7, the Chongar Bridge, which is used by Russian troops for logistical communication with occupied Crimea, was attacked by drones.
On June 9, the bridge was struck again. According to Vladimir Saldo, the “governor” of the occupied part of the Kherson region, the structure was damaged again, forcing traffic to be suspended.
