Britain Has Revealed Details Of The First Operation To Board A Tanker Belonging To Russia's "shadow Fleet"

The special forces operation lasted six hours.
On the morning of Sunday, June 14, the British Armed Forces intercepted a tanker belonging to Russia’s “shadow fleet” in the English Channel. This was reported by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who ordered the vessel to be detained.
In a statement from the UK Ministry of Defense it is reported that the military operation in the strait lasted 6 hours and was carried out with the support of aircraft from the Chinooks maritime aviation group, Merlin Mk4 and Wildcat helicopters, an RAF P-8 aircraft, as well as the frigates Sutherland and Ledbury.
Marines and special forces personnel from the National Crime Agency boarded the vessel.
The tanker will be temporarily moved to an anchorage off the southern coast of England for the duration of the investigation.
The Ministry of Defense separately emphasized that the enforcement measures taken against the vessel in British territorial waters were carried out in accordance with national and international law.
