The occupiers are being pushed back near Oleshky.

Ukrainian Marine Corps units have established control over a number of islands between Kherson and the temporarily occupied Oleshky. This information was announced by the commander of the 34th Separate Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pulinets in an interview with the project "Krym.Realii".

According to the military official, Ukrainian forces are holding, in particular, the islands of Alekseevsky, Kruglik, Korabelov, and Potemkinsky.

Pulinets noted that Russian troops continue to attempt to retake lost positions, but Ukrainian units have managed not only to consolidate their positions on the islands but also to push the occupiers back from some positions in the Oleshky area.

“The fact that units of the 34th Brigade are stationed precisely on the island sector is literally a thorn in their side,” the source noted.

The commander also said that one of the key results of the Ukrainian forces’ actions was the disruption of the Russian army’s logistics routes in this direction and the expansion of the so-called “kill zone”—the territory under constant fire control.

“Their logistics have been cut off, and the kill zone has expanded. They had a stronghold there—the Konkovsky Road Bridge. They used to constantly gather there and were always present, but for some reason, starting yesterday and today, they’ve been unable to do so,” the commander stated.

According to the military official, while the occupiers used to be able to drive into Oleshky without any trouble, they now have to walk 20–30 kilometers from Kostogryzovo.
