On the night of June 16 and into the morning, Moscow and the Moscow Region came under a massive attack by Ukrainian drones.
Russian authorities reported dozens of targets shot down, while monitoring channels reported a fire at the Russian capital’s largest oil refinery, writes "Glavkom".
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported for several hours on the operation of air defense systems and the destruction of drones heading toward the city. According to him, air defense forces allegedly shot down more than 30 drones.
At the same time, monitoring resources reported numerous drones in the skies over Moscow and the Moscow Region. According to their data, the Kapotnya Oil Refinery—the largest refinery in the Russian capital—may have been targeted.

There were also reports of smoke in the area around the facility and increased security measures at the site. Following the attack, temporary flight restrictions were imposed at Moscow airports, and emergency services were working at the crash sites.
By the way, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after inspecting the aftermath of the Russian strike on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, laconically answered a question from journalists about what he would like to say to the Russian aggressor Vladimir Putin following yet another massive attack.
“We’ll have more to say,” the head of state declared.
