The U.S. president stated that there had been massive Russian casualties.
The President of the United States of America Donald Trump has once again addressed the heavy losses suffered by Ukraine and Russia in the war. He called on Russia to agree to a peace deal.
As reported by a correspondent unian.net, Trump made these remarks during a meeting with the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in Evian, France.
The White House chief noted that he had a “very good meeting” with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but he will have another meeting with him later today. According to the U.S. president, Ukraine and Russia continue to engage in combat and are losing soldiers.
“Russia needs to make a deal. Russia has lost a tremendous number of people, just like Ukraine. Last month, they lost a total of 35,000 soldiers. Think about that. This happens every month,” Trump emphasized.
According to him, the average losses amount to 25,000 people, mostly soldiers.
“It’s madness what’s happening there,” Trump said, noting that he had resolved eight wars.
He also added that there is “a lot of animosity” between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia.
