"May Changed Everything."

In the Ukrainian brigade "Rubezh" reported successes in the Pokrovsk direction.

The Pokrovskoye direction remains the hottest section of the front, where Russian troops are trying to break through the Ukrainian defense on a daily basis. Despite constant pressure and a large number of assaults, the last months have brought the occupants not the results they had hoped for.

The head of reconnaissance of the anti-aircraft artillery artillery division of the "Rubezh" brigade Daniil Borisenko in the air of "24 Kanal" said that May became indicative for this direction. According to him, it was then that it became apparent that the Russian offensive was beginning to lose effectiveness, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces were seizing the initiative in some areas.

Why May was unsuccessful for the Russians

Pokrovsky direction has been one of the main areas of Russian attacks for more than ten months. In the last 24 hours alone, the occupiers made 56 assault attempts in the areas of Belitsky, Rodynsky, Kotlinny, Udachny and other settlements. None of them yielded any result.

- In the Pokrovsk direction the brigade has been holding the defense for more than 10 months. It has been and remains the hottest, - said Borisenko.

The last 24 hours also showed that Russian assaults do not allow the occupants to advance without losses. During these attacks, the enemy lost more than 30 military dead, about 20 wounded, as well as a gun, a motorcycle and 6 units of special equipment. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed more than 200 UAVs of various types during this time.

- The enemy continues to try to use the tactic of creeping offensive by small infantry groups. They are trying to infiltrate between our positions in the forest belts and entrench themselves in separate buildings on the outskirts of settlements," Borisenko explained.

- Over these months, the brigade's units have adapted to Russian tactics and learned how to effectively disrupt assaults. The occupiers continue to try to press infantry, but their attempts increasingly end in casualties without any noticeable result.

-May was the least in terms of captured territories from the enemy. Also, the Ukrainian Defense Forces made several very successful counterattacks," the military officer stressed.

This shows that the tactics of constant pressure are no longer giving the Russians the effect they had hoped for. At the same time, they continue to throw large infantry forces into the attacks, trying to compensate for the lack of real successes by the number of people.

Russian losses in the area of responsibility of "Rubezh"

Russian assaults in the Pokrovsky direction remain massive, but their price for the occupiers is very high. The Rubezh brigade alone killed 246 Russian troops in May, with another 70 wounded. Within the first corps of the National Guard "Azov" these figures are even higher.

- If we talk about the losses the corps inflicted on the enemy, more than 1,800 occupants were destroyed there. More than 800 were wounded," Borisenko noted.

Besides manpower, the Russians are losing equipment, particularly tanks. The units are also actively working on aerial targets: the anti-aircraft artillery artillery division of the Rubezh brigade accounts for almost 500 downed UAVs of various types.

- The corps accounts for more than three thousand downed targets, if we count airplane-type attack UAVs, multirotor and reconnaissance UAVs," the military officer explained.

These targets include Shaheds and Geraniums, which fly over the units' area of responsibility. Some of the brigade's fighters are also working to protect Kiev and the Kiev region from Russian attack drones.

The Rubezh brigade also calls for supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces with donations. The units need anti-Shahed drones to help shoot down Russian attack UAVs before they reach peaceful cities.

- The more anti-Shahed drones we have, the fewer Shaheds will fly to peaceful cities and the less damage they will cause," Borysenko emphasized.

He added that the military will do everything in their power to make the Ukrainian skies cleaner and fewer Russian drones in them.
