Drones Struck An Oil Depot And A Thermal Power Plant In Kerch, The "Kavkaz" Port, And A Major Substation In Eastern Crimea

Fires are raging across the peninsula, and power outages are widespread.

On the night of June 23, Ukrainian drones launched a massive targets in annexed Crimea.

According to the Ukrainian monitoring resource Supernova, the large “Nasosnaya-2” power substation in the Sovetsky District was hit.

Satellite images from NASA FIRMS show that a fire broke out at the facility. Subscribers to “Crimean Wind” reported a “powerful explosion” in the Sovetsky district around 2 a.m. The channel also reports a fire near the 220/35 kV “NS-2” substation, which powers the pumping station, north of the village of Nikolaevka.

As a result of the strike, power outages have been observed since this morning in Yevpatoria, Krasnoperekopsk, Saki, Dzhankoy, and Krasnogvardeisky districts.

In addition, according to “Crimean Wind,” the oil depot at the seaport of Kerch—which had not yet been extinguished following the June 21 airstrike—and the oil terminal at the “Kavkaz” port in Kuban were struck for the second time this week. Fires broke out there.

The “TES-Terminal” oil products transshipment and storage complex—a major port logistics complex in Kerch designed for the storage and transshipment of oil products and liquefied gas—was also hit.

A major fire also broke out at a thermal power plant in the Arshintsevo area of Kerch. According to “Crimean Wind,” a shell struck a fuel oil storage tank. A plume of smoke from the burning container stretched for nearly 50 km.

Fires have also been reported at the entrance to Kerch and near the village of Bagero, 15 km from the city, where Russian S-300/S-400 air defense systems are deployed. In addition, a fire is burning at the “Yuzhnaya” railway station in Kerch. Around 7:00 a.m., traffic across the Kerch Bridge was blocked.

“Crimean Wind” reports that fires also broke out on the Arabat Spit as a result of “strikes,” where Russian troops are stationed. In Simferopol, shops and workshops near the warehouses of the “Dobrotsen” retail chain caught fire.
