Good News From The Front: A Tactical Break Begins For Ukraine

Russia failed in the winter and spring campaigns.

The commander of the 3rd Army Corps of the AFU Andrey Biletsky in an interview with TSN said that Russia failed the winter campaign and completely failed the spring campaign.

He said that in May the Russian army was able to capture about 10 square kilometers of territory, while Ukraine's overall result for the month could be higher.

Biletsky believes that a breakthrough is already beginning at the tactical and operational level. He cited two main reasons.

First: Russia is increasingly short of manpower. According to him, the former "meat waves", which were the norm 7-8 months ago, are now out of the question even on the most difficult parts of the front.

The second reason: Ukraine's advantage in the air. Biletsky said that Ukrainian drones are gradually taking control of a depth of up to 200 kilometers from the front line. According to him, even captured Russian officers realize this: "The sky is now behind us."

The commander of the 3rd Corps predicts that if the trend continues, in 6-7 months it will become obvious at the front: Russia is tactically losing the war on the ground. The corps has a huge number of soldiers - almost 40,000, besides, the Third Assault Corps is the largest organism of the 3rd Army Corps. In fact, it is no longer a brigade, but a division by many numerical indicators.

Separately Biletsky noted the effectiveness of the fight against drones. According to him, in the area of responsibility of the 3rd Corps, 45 out of 50 Russian "Shaheds" were destroyed in a day - they did not even pass the front line.

He also emphasized that Russia does not control the Luhansk region completely. Ukrainian forces have been holding the last section of Luhansk region for two years, and this control, according to Biletskyy, has only expanded.
