Belarusian Defense Minister Says There Is A Risk Of Conflict Against Lukashenko's Regime

According to Hrenin, the conflict will be global.

The probability of unleashing a conflict against Russia and Belarus is extremely high, as well as the chance of its subsequent transformation into a global one. This was stated by Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin at a meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member-states in Moscow.

"Assessing the current situation in the Eastern European region, we state that the probability of unleashing a military conflict against the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, members of the CSTO, as well as the possibility of its subsequent transformation from regional to global, is extremely high," he said.

Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Wolfovich said earlier that Western countries are allegedly openly preparing for war, seeing Moscow and Minsk as the main enemies.

"In all strategic documents or strategic planning documents of the West, the beginning of war on the European continent is laid down for 2030. They are laying it down. All their military budgets are aimed at this," he said.
