There was a fire after the attack.

In the Chernobyl zone on the night of June 7, a Russian drone hit a building on the territory of a spent nuclear fuel storage facility. After the attack, a fire broke out.

Ukraine's Energoatom reports this in Telegram channel.

According to the company, at about 02:10, an enemy UAV attacked the site of the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility (CSNFSF). As a result of the strike, the container acceptance building was partially destroyed.

Energoatom specified that spent nuclear fuel was not stored in this building.

After the hit, a fire of about 40 square meters appeared. It was promptly localized and completely extinguished.

There were no casualties among the personnel.

At the same time, the radiation condition at the CCNF site remains within normal limits. Now specialists continue to monitor the situation and cooperate with all responsible state services.

"Another strike on a nuclear infrastructure facility has once again demonstrated to the whole world the true face of the Kremlin regime, which deliberately creates threats to nuclear and radiation safety. Russia continues to act as a terrorist state and nuclear terrorist, disregarding international law and the safety of millions of people," Energoatom said."
