"Many Will Wake Up Bankrupt": Russians Have Begun Pleading For An End To The "special Military Operation"

Many residents of Russia have spoken out about the need to stop the “special military operation” (as Kremlin propaganda refers to the war against Ukraine) because the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on Wildberries’ logistics centers have personally affected them. This is reported by Dialog.UA after monitoring social media and messaging apps.

On social media, Russians are complaining about Ukrainian drones on Wildberries marketplace warehouses. This is Russia’s largest marketplace, but it is being used to supply the Russian military-industrial complex with sanctioned drone components and navigation equipment, making it a legitimate target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“I think that’s it. A lot of people will wake up bankrupt today because the warehouse in Krasnodar burned down. What can we do? It’s unclear. I don’t know what to do,” said one Russian in response to the attacks on Wildberries (warning: many videos contain profanity!).

Social media users report that Wildberries’ warehouses in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk (Stavropol Krai) held a massive amount of goods.

These logistics complexes, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked on the night of July 22, were still burning at the time this article was written. Sellers working with Wildberries claim that the company will not compensate them for the destroyed goods. Sellers will have to deal with their problems on their own.
