On the night of Thursday, July 9, Ukrainian defense forces struck 12 tankers belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet, one tugboat, and one dry cargo ship in the waters of the Sea of Azov. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The occupiers used these vessels, in particular, to supply fuel to Russian military units, as well as to transport oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, the statement said.
