Russia's Supreme Court Has Disqualified The Yabloko Party From The State Duma Elections

During the hearing, a crowd gathered outside the courthouse to show their support for Yabloko.

Russian Supreme Court Justice Vyacheslav Kirillov granted the lawsuit filed by the “Rodina” party. Yabloko stated that it would appeal this decision, according to “Meduza”.

During the hearing, people gathered outside the courthouse to support “Yabloko.” After the ruling was announced, they began chanting, “Shame!”

The lawsuit to remove the party from the election was filed by “Rodina.” Its representatives claimed that in its campaign materials, “Yabloko” was infringing on copyrights and using slogans they described as “extremist.”

During the court proceedings, a representative of the Central Election Commission also cited information from Rosfinmonitoring alleging that “Yabloko” had received funding from abroad.

The party itself explained that these funds came from the sale of foreign stocks. According to Yabloko representatives, the party owned such assets and was required by law to dispose of them before the election.
