The city has also banned the use of electric scooters.
In Novosibirsk, ahead of Vladimir Putin’s visit, local residents were advised to limit their movements and observe special security measures.
Some of these recommendations turned out to be absurd, as Dialog.UA has learned.
According to “NeMoscow,” residents were advised to refrain from going outside while the presidential motorcade was passing by, to stay away from windows, and to avoid using electronic and optical devices.
Similar restrictions were imposed on students at Novosibirsk State University living in dormitories. Furthermore, they were prohibited from moving freely around campus. Barricades, typically used during mass events, were set up near the new buildings of the educational and research center.
In addition, the rental of electric scooters was temporarily restricted across most of Akademgorodok and on the central streets.
Putin arrived in Novosibirsk on the night of August 11. As early as Monday evening, police officers began taking up positions along the route of his motorcade.
