Ukrainian Drones Have Begun Targeting Wildberries Trucks

The company's trucks are being attacked on routes to occupied Crimea.

The Ukrainian military is attacking Wildberries trucks transporting goods to Crimea. In at least two cases, the trucks were reportedly successfully struck; in another, a drone missed the truck. The OSINT technical reported on August 4 that a Wildberries truck had been destroyed, published images of the aftermath of the attack, and provided the coordinates of the incident.

On June 20, the commander of the 422nd Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems of the LUFTWAFFE Nikolai Kolesnik reported an attack by Ukrainian drones on Wildberries trucks. He stated that the attack was intended to disrupt Russian logistics, according to Channel 24. Another incident occurred on May 24. According to the “Military Informant” channel, a Ukrainian RAM-2X drone attempted to attack a Wildberries truck that was traveling to Crimea along the R-280 “Novorossiya” highway. However, the drone missed the truck and struck a roadside restroom.

Attacks on trucks are part of Ukraine’s operation to weaken Russian logistics. In June alone, the Ukrainian military struck about 600 trucks, including 80 fuel tankers, according to “Crimean Wind.” Because of these attacks, Crimea has been experiencing a fuel crisis and food supply problems for more than two months. As a result, Russian authorities have imposed limits on the sale of gasoline and diesel fuel to individuals and organizations, and fuel prices have risen severalfold.
