In Hugo Chávez Park.
An open-air ice arena will be built in Hugo Chávez Park, located in the western part of the capital near the “Kamennaya Gorka” metro station. This was reported to the state agency “Minsk-Novosti” by the CEO of “Minskzelenstroy,” Alexander Yermolovich.
“The highlight will be an open-air ice arena, which we plan to hand over to a specialized organization for maintenance. It will be operational at temperatures up to +7…+8 °C from roughly November through March,” Yermolovich said.
Hugo Chávez Park opened in 2014. In 2024, it gained amusement rides, areas for quiet relaxation, and facilities for extreme sports. In 2025, builders began landscaping the second half of the park, located between Nemanskaya and Kamenogorskaya Streets.
The park now features paved courts for volleyball, soccer, and streetball, as well as exercise equipment. There are even courts for beach volleyball and soccer, a roller-skiing track, and a velodrome.
