Azerbaijan Has Issued An International Arrest Warrant For Three Z-propagandists

Baku accuses them of "calling for a change in government."

Azerbaijani authorities have issued an international arrest warrant for Alexey Chadaev, an advisor to the head of the Russian Ministry of Transport and a Z-blogger, as well as a host on the “Moscow 24” television channel Ivan Knyazev, and political scientist and media manager Semyon Uralov, reports Minval citing the republic’s Prosecutor General’s Office.

According to the agency, all three propagandists are implicated in publicly calling for terrorism, the “violent overthrow of Azerbaijan’s constitutional order,” the violation of the country’s territorial integrity, and the incitement of ethnic hatred. The basis for “reasonable suspicion” was two episodes of the program “Clarity of Understanding,” published on the “Semen Uralov” YouTube channel on July 14 and August 13.

In the first episode, according to prosecutors, the propagandists called for the use of violent methods against Azerbaijan, the overthrow of the country’s legitimate government, and the violation of its territorial integrity, as well as for the incitement of ethnic hatred. Apparently, this refers to a broadcast titled “How Many of Aliyev’s Agents Are There in Russia?”, which is now unavailable. In another episode, according to the authorities, Chadaev, Knyazev, and Uralov called for terrorism, including the use of violence against the republic, the elimination of specific individuals, and their “targeted liquidation.” The authors of “Purity of Understanding” themselves position their content as “political analysis.” All three have been charged in absentia under a number of criminal statutes.

The charges include “public incitement to terrorism,” “incitement directed against the state,” and “incitement of national hatred and enmity.” The suspects were arrested in absentia and placed on a wanted list, including through Interpol channels.
