Large-scale Drone Attack: The Moscow And Leningrad Regions Are Under Fire

There are reports of an attack on the oil refinery and the Wildberries warehouse.

On the night of August 4, reports emerged from several regions of Russia and the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine attacks by strike drones. Fires were reported in Syzran, Russia; the city of Chekhov in the Moscow Region; and at a Wildberries warehouse in the Leningrad Region. At the same time, explosions rocked the temporarily occupied city of Berdyansk in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to New Voice.

Leningrad Oblast

The region’s governor, Alexander Drozdenco, confirmed an attack on the Wildberries warehouse in the village of Krasny Bor. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.

Berdyansk

Explosions rang out over the occupied city throughout the night. Local Telegram channels and eyewitnesses reported the activation of the Russian air defense system and the movement of attack drones directly over the city.

Syzran, Samara Region

A fire broke out near a local oil refinery. Videos showing flames and a plume of smoke rising above the facility are circulating on social media. The Syzran Oil Refinery is part of Russia’s fuel and energy complex—similar facilities in various regions of Russia have repeatedly been targeted by drone attacks in the past.

Chekhov, Moscow Region

Local Telegram channels are reporting a large-scale fire in the city; according to available data, the area affected by the fire has been gradually expanding.

As of this publication, there have been no official comments from Russian authorities regarding most of these incidents.
