On September 1, several medical and educational institutions in Minsk received reports of alleged explosive devices. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee, which noted that inspections were conducted at the respective locations in response.

“Today, several medical and educational institutions in the capital received electronic messages about alleged explosive devices,” the agency reported.

Bomb disposal experts inspected the specified locations as well as the surrounding areas—no dangerous objects or explosives were found.

Law enforcement officials are currently working to identify those who sent the false messages. The Moscow Police Department noted that such actions are subject to criminal liability—carrying a sentence of up to 7 years in prison.
