Lukashenko Experienced "nightmare And Horror" Near Shklov

The dictator flew in to check on how the flax was being processed.

Upon arriving in the Shklov District for an inspection, Alexander Lukashenko seemed to be in a bad mood. When his helicopter landed in a field at the “Govyady-Agro” agricultural enterprise, the president immediately expressed his outrage at the quality of the flax harvest, according to "Solidarnast".

“Did you want to show how not to work? You should be put in jail for this. Is this how you handle flax? It’s disgusting. I didn’t expect this from you (he addressed the chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee—ed.). And to you (the head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and his regional assistant—ed.), I would advise you to stop dabbling in theory and start dealing with concrete matters. This is terrible, a nightmare. We’ll look into this. This shouldn’t be happening. Len—did you get rid of him here? You ruined him here,” Lukashenko declared.

This suggests that you’re trampling where the president often goes and where it’s closer to the road. But you don’t venture into the remote corners. If you took the risk of having the president sit in that field, then the rest of your operations are in absolutely terrible shape.

Responding to the enterprise’s request for a few additional pieces of equipment, Lukashenko noted that it’s no problem to order the delivery of the equipment, but the question is how this farm will pay for it given the way it’s being run.

“Go ahead and buy them. But what will you buy with this flax? There’s no basic discipline here. If there’s no technology, why give them tractors and combines?” he remarked.

Lukashenko then visited the “Govyady” dairy and livestock complex, where, according to his press service, he “offered several practical tips on how to operate and organize work on the farm as a whole.”

“There should be no idle labor here. If there’s no discipline, nothing will get done here,” the president stated.

Lukashenko, however, was pleased with the calf health center.

“This is what I asked to be built. Not a palace. A neat, comfortable calf barn, without any frills.” And there’s zero mortality on the farm,” he praised himself.

The leader also heard a report on the potato harvest and new varieties bred in Belarus at the “Diana” Farm. And he declared:


— We need to grow more potatoes in Belarus. There is interest in our potatoes in both Russia and Uzbekistan. The government has been tasked with finding markets and determining where to grow potatoes. Especially since there’s plenty of seed. What kind of good-for-nothings are these who don’t produce potatoes?
