It serves as the main hub and distribution station for the entire Azov Coast trunk line.
Agents of “ATESH” carried out a successful sabotage operation on a key section of the railroad in Taganrog, Russia. It serves as the main entry point and distribution hub for the entire Azov Railway, which supplies the Russian Federation’s southern military group.
This was reported by Telegram of the “ATESH” partisan movement.
The partisans noted that putting the switch out of service blocks the movement of trains on this vital artery connecting the Rostov Region with Mariupol, Crimea, and the southern front.

This disrupts the schedule for delivering ammunition, equipment, and fuel to units fighting in the Ugledar, Orekhov, and Kherson sectors, leading to massive delays in supplies.

"ATESH" emphasized that targeted damage to infrastructure deep behind enemy lines remains an effective way to disrupt supply lines.
In particular, given the volume of traffic on this main line, even a temporary halt to traffic creates a chain of delays along the entire southern front.
“Putin has no plans to end the war, despite the enormous losses, and is preparing for a large-scale mobilization. The Russian army and Putin’s regime must be stopped for the common good,” the partisan movement emphasized.
