A new large-scale prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia could take place as early as next week. Officials in Kyiv are hopeful that the agreements will be implemented soon.

This was stated in a comment by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Budanov for Novosti.LIVE.

According to Budanov, news regarding the exchange should be expected in the near future. He emphasized that the process should take place fairly quickly.

“It should happen very quickly, in the near future. I think within the week,” said the head of the President’s Office.

The journalist asked whether he meant the coming week. In response, Budanov said, “We hope so.”

Thus, the Ukrainian side expects that a large-scale prisoner exchange could take place in the coming days. At the same time, the exact date and other details of the exchange have not yet been disclosed.
