Russians Struck A High-rise Building In Kharkiv With KAB Bombs

There are many children among the victims.

This morning, Russian forces launched KAB strikes on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, hitting a high-rise building. More than 20 people are known to have been injured, including many children, according to unian.net.

According to Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov, at around 4 a.m., Russian forces struck two districts of the city—Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi. In the Saltivskyi district, a guided missile struck an apartment building.

Terekhov reported that the enemy strike hit the second floor of the apartment building. Damage to the second and third floors has been confirmed. The number of casualties is rising rapidly—initially, 9 people were reported injured, but within an hour, that number had risen to two dozen.

As of 7:30 a.m. Minsk time, 22 people were reported injured, including 8 children.

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Oleg Sinegubov, a 12-year-old and an 8-year-old boy have been hospitalized.

A 3-year-old girl, a 9-year-old boy, a 7-year-old girl, a 10-year-old boy, a 15-year-old girl, and a 10-year-old boy received medical care at the scene.

He also shared photos of the damaged building—the images show that walls in the apartments have been destroyed and windows have been shattered.
