Ukraine Is Opting For Unconventional Solutions

Infrastructure facilities are being moved underground.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi confirmed that the threat of losing internet access persists due to Russia’s ongoing attacks on data centers in Kyiv. According to him, against this backdrop, the government is preparing for the most challenging scenario. The head of government spoke about this in an interview with TSN, commenting on the massive Russian attacks that have begun on telecommunications infrastructure.

Koretsky emphasized that the threat to critical infrastructure will persist until the end of the full-scale war. At the same time, to protect the equipment, the Cabinet of Ministers is using various approaches, including taking unconventional measures. Some facilities are being moved underground, others are being stored in the cloud, and still others are being physically moved abroad. According to the prime minister, there is no one-size-fits-all method of protection. Depending on the situation, the government may combine all three methods simultaneously.

“First, we protect. Second, there are unconventional solutions. Some things must be underground, some in the cloud, some abroad, some using a hybrid approach, and some using all three options simultaneously,” Koretsky emphasized.
