Actions demanding freedom for political prisoners in Brest (Photo)

Actions of protest against imprisonment of Alyaksandr Barazenka, activist of the “European Belarus” civil campaign, began in Brest.

Activists of the campaign pasted black-and-white posters depicting the political prisoner with an inscription “Freedom for Alyaksandr Barazenka!” along Arlouskay, Maskouskaya, Leninhradskaya, and Haurylava Streets, as well as along Paryzanski Avenue in the city district Uskhod.

The action was aimed at attracting attention of city dwellers to appearing of new political prisoners in the country. According to one of the activists, curtseys of the Belarusian authorities to the West didn’t stop persecution of the opposition. That is why actions of solidarity with the political prisoner will go on.
