Three activists of “Young Belarus” detained in Polatsk for action of solidarity with political prisoner

A young activist from Polatsk Ales Krutkin and two his fellow activists planned to hold a rally in support of political prisoner Alyaksandr Barazenka.

The young men wanted to gather with prisoner’s portraits in front of Trade House in Polatsk. They gathered 15 minutes before the rally planned for 6.30 p.m. and were waiting for other participants, and then a police car arrived.

As said by Ales Krutkin, a policeman addressed him with the words: “Good evening, Mr Krutkin”. After that he ordered to go with him to a police department for identification. Two other activists were taken to Polatsk city police department as well. At the moment the detained stay in the police department, Radio Svaboda informs.
