More than 20 thousand of Belarusians have signed for the nomination of the leader of the “European Belarus” Andrei Sannikov as a presidential candidate.
Uladzimir Kobets, the head of the initiative group of Andrei Sannikov told the press service of the civil campaign “European Belarus” how the signatures collection is running.
- How many signatures have been collected for the moment?
- We daily receive the information about the quantity of the collected signatures in support of the nomination of Andrei Sannikov. At the present moment the members of the initiative group have collected more than 20.000 signatures. The subscription lists in concordance with the Electoral Code will be handed over to the corresponding election committees after the check of the correctness of their filling in.
- Where the collected signatures prevail – in the capital or regions?
More than a half of all signatures are collected in Minsk. It is explained by the fact that in Minsk the signature collection was started immediately after the Central Electoral Committee issued certifications and subscription lists, but to some regions of the country the documents were delivered a little bit later. The signatures are collected at the pickets as well as by way of visiting people’s flats.

- Actually, the activity of people signing for Sannikov is very high. People often stay in sizeable queues.
