Trial against Ales Byalyatski. Day two

November 3 is the second day of trial against the head of Viasna human rights centre and Vice President of the International Federation for Human Rights, Ales Byalyatski.
The trial is conducted by judge Syarhei Bandarenka.
A barrister is Zmitser Layeuski.
A prosecutor is Saikouski.
The prosecutor read out the accusation on the first day of trial, November 2, and court began to question Byalyatski.
The trial is held in the court of the Maskouski district of Minsk, because courtrooms in the Pershamaiski district court are too small, Radio Svaboda reports.
The Maskouski district court is situated at Gazety Pravda Avenue, 27.
Ales Byalyatski is charged with tax evasion on an especially large scale. He did not pay taxes on the money he received for human rights activity. He may face up to 7 years in prison and confiscation of property.
Information about Byalyatski’s bank accounts was revealed Belarus by Lithuania and Poland. Byalyatski was detained on August 4 and thrown into a jail in Valadarski Street in Minsk.
