The Center-left Opposition Bloc Won The Parliamentary Elections In Sweden

By a margin of one seat.

In the parliamentary elections in Sweden were won by the opposition center-left bloc (the Swedish Social Democratic Party, the Left Party, the Green Party, and the Center Party). This was reported by SVT after 99.9% of the votes had been counted.

The opposition bloc led by former Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson has won 175 seats in the 349-seat parliament. The parties of Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson’s ruling right-liberal alliance (the Moderate Party, the Liberals, the Christian Democrats, and the Sweden Democrats) hold 174 seats.

The election took place on September 13. The final voter turnout was 80.4%. Ulf Kristersson has served as Prime Minister of Sweden since October 2022.
