Journalists’ Arrests Continue

On Freedom Day, independent journalists were subjected to repression.

Journalists of the Belsat TV channel Ihar Iljash and Stanislau Ivashkevich, the son of opposition leader Viktar Ivashkevich, were detained at Yakub Kolas Square.

Earlier Belsat journalists Siarhei Kavaliou, Katsiaryna Andreyava, Andrei Kozel, Liubou Luniova were detained.

We remind that on March 25, on Freedom Day, mass arrests of people who were going to take part in the March of Dignity and Freedom at Yakub Kolas Square, and arrests of activists on their way to Minsk were held throughout the country.
