It's great that so many people responded, both in the comments and direct messages, to the "honorary consuls." It's great that concrete suggestions and actions immediately began.

We can move on.

First, a few clarifications.

I will emphasize once again that honorary consuls are, as a rule, not citizens of Belarus, but citizens of their states with all the ensuing consequences. That is, in democratic countries, their work for the dictator is simply illegal. They are essentially working for a regime of criminals, terrorists, and murderers.

In general, the attitude towards the institution of honorary consuls is ambiguous. The fact that this position has a conflict of interest is a matter of caution. Representing the country, albeit with very limited powers, is entrusted to the citizens of another country. This is why two major political antagonists - the United States and China - do not use the institution of honorary consuls in other countries.

Authoritarian and dictatorial regimes are looking for people with a certain reputation for the posts of their honorary consuls: politically murky or business schemers. Therefore, one should not be surprised that Lukashenka’s representatives, even in democratic countries, continue to work for this criminal regime. That is why it is important to make a "de-anon" of the regime's honorary consuls, warn them that their activities are illegal, especially in states that unequivocally do not recognize Lukashenka, and urge them to resign from these posts.

If in democratic countries one can expect that honorary consuls of Lukashenka will at least think about who they represent, then in non-democratic states, under mafia and authoritarian regimes, this is unrealistic.

But these people are interesting because they are aware of many dirty political and business transactions, they have valuable information about the crimes of the Lukashenka regime not only in Belarus but also abroad.

The list below contains a lot of interesting information that draws on more than one journalistic investigation.

Noteworthy, for example, is the unusually large number of posts in honorary consulates in Iraq. In Serbia, Lukashenka's honorary consul is Dragomir Karic, from the same clan with a murky reputation that rules Belarus like at home, and which the US suspects of laundering large sums of money, including Milosevic's.

Some characters have their e-mail in Russia for some reason. Some are known for their connections, if not with the FSB, then with the staff members of the "Russian world."

In general, the lists are interesting.
