The well-known Belarusian athlete Nadzeya Astapchuk shared her opinion about the near future of Belarus, Tribuna reports.

“Any negotiations with the authorities are possible only if we have certain trump cards in our hands. In our case, the trump card is the economy. It will "kneel" very soon, and then the authorities will simply have to sit down at the negotiating table.

When there is nothing to feed their "handsome men", then Lukashenka will start to fear not the people, but these very "handsome men." Then real changes will take place. I believe that it is possible to achieve our goal peacefully, but, again, we need to have trump cards in our hands.

Looking at how the dollar rate is growing, how the economy "develops," it is difficult to predict something good.

Economic problems will hit everyone - both those who are for changes and those who are for the current government. But if we want changes we will have to sacrifice something. At first, we will have to sacrifice the standard of living,” Astapchuk said.
