Mousetrap Getting Nearer: Ukrainian Armed Forces Cutting Enemy's Logistic Line In Kherson Region

Ukrainian fighters are launching a counterattack in the south.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are striking at the Russian occupiers in the southern direction and cutting off the enemy from important logistic routes.

The Kherson regional military administration reports that the AFU have not allowed the occupiers to advance in the villages of Kalynivska municipality (Sukhoy Prud, Andriyivka) and Velikooleksandrivska municipality (Davydiv Brod, Bilohorka, Bruskinske).

The situation in other villages in Beryslav and Kakhovka districts is persistently difficult and hostilities are ongoing.

At the same time, Ukrainian defenders in Kherson Region have taken under control several transport infrastructure facilities.

"Despite great pressure, threats and increased roadblocks, the residents of the region have been demonstrating their patriotic stance for all 5 months of the war," the regional administration reports.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' fighters continue advancing in the Kherson direction, Natalia Humeniuk, head of the press centre of the security and defence forces of the South Operational Command, said.

According to Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the head of the presidential office, there are about 12,000-15,000 enemy soldiers in the Russian-occupied Kherson Region. The Russians will surrender to the Ukrainian defence forces even before the Ukrainian army switches to a counter-offensive operation. The Ukrainian army is already attacking the occupier's facilities with HIMARS rocket launchers.

Ukrainian army major-general Dmytro Marchenko said earlier that Ukraine would liberate occupied territories in southern Ukraine, including Crimea, which was annexed back in 2014.
