In his opinion, such a “special operation” is too complicated and unprofitable, because it involves surveillance, analysis of the lifestyle of the Dugin family, control over their movements, identification of their daughter, close monitoring, etc. “This is a great risk. Could you imagine the consequences of the failure?" he said.

Gudkov says that it's easier to hire a killer, who will fire a bullet in the parking lot near the house or at the entrance, and then disappear.

“I would not commit such a complex assassination attempt, realizing that the other side could expose me, and then it would be a serious blow to my image,” the Russian opposition politician emphasized.

According to Gudkov, there are several facts that indicate that the version of the "sacred sacrifice" may be true:

Gudkov also considers the possibility of murder due to all sorts of "conflicts": financial, pro-government, for influence, programs, "kickbacks", "cuts", official position lobbying etc. “Everything that is negative, dirty and criminal happens in the so-called Donetsk Republic,” he said.
