CSTO Wishes Good Health In Response To Armenia's Request For Help

On September 13, the CSTO secretariat responded to Armenia's request for assistance in connection with the outbreak of hostilities with Azerbaijan. They praised Russia and promised to make a special press release in connection with the aggravation of the situation on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“We consider the use of force unacceptable. Only political and diplomatic methods and agreements should be used to resolve the tensions, enshrined in the statements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia dated November 09, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021,” the CSTO said.

They also said that they "highly appreciate" the mediation efforts of the Russian Federation in a ceasefire on the contact line from 9:00 on September 13.

In connection with the appeal of Armenia, the CSTO Secretariat reported that, together with the CSTO Joint Headquarters, they organized work "to activate the CSTO mechanisms to resolve the situation".
