AFU Soldiers Shoot Down Russian Su-25 Attack Aircraft And Ka-52 Helicopter In Few Hours

On Wednesday, January 4, Ukrainian defenders shot down a Russian K-52 attack helicopter as well as an Su-25 attack aircraft in a few hours. This was reported by the command of the AFU Air Force on Telegram.

"From 11.00 to 16.00 on January 4, 2023, units of anti-aircraft missile troops of the AFU Air Forces destroyed Russian attack helicopter Su-25, attack helicopter Ka-52 in the eastern direction," the message says.

It is noted that the Ukrainian soldiers deftly destroyed the UAV operational-tactical level "Orlan-10".

It should be noted that the Ka-52 (also known as Alligator) is a Russian combat helicopter, the command vehicle of the army aviation, which carries out reconnaissance, target assignment and coordination of a group of combat helicopters. The vehicle is capable of engaging armored and unarmored vehicles, manpower and aerial targets on the battlefield. It is a continuation of the Ka-50 "Black Shark" model. The cost of one Ka-52 unit is $16 million.

The Su-25 is a single-seat armored infrasound attack aircraft designed to provide air support in the combat zone by day and night in conditions of visual target visibility, as well as destroying targets with preset coordinates in case of flying weather.
