Plan ‘B’ Unveiled: Danilov Details Ukraine's Course Without US Assistance

New weapons will be used against the occupiers.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov said what Ukraine will do under the conditions of a decrease in military assistance from the United States.

Danilov told Voice of America about this.

He expressed confidence that Ukraine will receive a package of necessary military assistance from the United States, since we are talking about “responsibility and understanding of many processes taking place in the world.”

In particular, he believes that in January American legislators will return to voting on this issue.

“As for the political process that exists in the United States, this is precisely democracy. There are norms and rules that must be followed,” he said.

Danilov was asked if Ukraine has a Plan B in case it does not receive an aid package from the United States. In particular, journalists were interested in the production of Ukrainian weapons — cartridges, shells, drones.

“As for the work of our defense-industrial complex, both public and private, from the beginning of the war this complex began to work on the defense capability of our country. We have achievements, we are not falling behind. The weapons we produce surprise the world,” Danilov noted.

He also noted that the process of creating joint defense enterprises with partners is now underway.

“In certain countries, weapons production processes are underway together with our partners. And it’s not just one country. There are already several of them, where joint production of those components and things that are necessary at the front for victory is underway,” he emphasized.

Danilov said that this referred to various specialists from these countries, in particular, designers.

“Our testing takes place not in conditions close to combat, but directly in combat. And our military men clearly and quickly assess one or another weapon. And we have high-quality expertise in these matters,” Danilov said.
