After the death of Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makei, his widow, actress Vera Paliakova, seems to have fallen into disgrace. She disappeared from TV screens. Nasha Niva's sources claim that this could not have happened without Aliaksandr Lukashenka's awareness.

Vera Paliakova disappeared from TV. Shortly before November 26, 2022, the day of Makei's death, she often hosted the Our Morning, an ONT TV-show.

Mrs Paliakova no longer appears on the air. Aliaksandr Siarebrenikau has another colleague - Liubou Cherkashyna, a member of the Executive Committee of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee (NOC), who - an interesting coincidence - advanced in her career during Maxim Ryzhenkau’s NOC leadership, who later became Mr Makei's antagonist within the government machine.

Also, as it became known, Vera Paliakova no longer hosts events for the regime establishment.

“Also, the businessmen close to the regime, who previously supported the Theater for Young Spectators, Paliakova involved in its management, began to refuse requests for support for one or another project. It is an interesting coincidence,” a source from the theatrical sphere told Nasha Niva.

The actress continues to perform with the TriTformaT theatre project, the other day the troupe went to Biaroza to perform the Karenina play.

“Paliakova could not get under disgrace immediately after the death of Makei without the awareness of Lukashenka, and most likely by his direct order,” one of the sources told the journalists.
