Media Confirm Crossing Of Dnipro By Ukrainian Fighters In Kherson Region

The positions north of Oleshki have been taken.

On April 22-23, information about the landing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the left bank of the Dnipro River appeared on Russian media outlets covering the war in Ukraine.

The occupation administration of Kherson Region categorically denied these reports.

However, on April 24, Air Force sources confirmed the Ukrainian army's advance near Kherson, saying that the AFU had indeed made "some movement across the Dnipro River near Kherson".

The American Institute for War Studies (ISW) analysed photos published by Z-bloggers and found that the defenders probably managed to take up positions north of Oleshki and advanced to the northern outskirts of the town along the E97 highway, as well as west of the village of Dachi. Official Kyiv tries not to comment on reports about the offensive.
