Poland Said It Had Thwarted An Attack On One Of Its Border Crossings

On the night of September 10, Poland thwarted a threat to one of its border crossings with Ukraine, said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, according to Reuters.

Tusk did not specify what this “imminent threat” was. According to him, it was prevented thanks to cooperation with Ukraine.

Tusk noted that Russia “has already resorted to provocative attacks on border crossings,” for example, in Moldova. “We expect similar actions regarding border crossings with Ukraine and in other countries, including Poland,” said the Polish prime minister.

According to Tusk, he received a “fairly detailed report” from the CIA on possible developments in the coming months. “Poland and all of Europe must be prepared for various scenarios, related not only to the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian front but also to the situation along the EU’s eastern flank,” said the Polish prime minister.
