AFU Break Through Southern Flank Of Russian Forces Near Bakhmut

The Ukrainian army has occupied a bridgehead in the forest near Ivanivske.

Putin's army's flanks are cracking near Bakhmut: the Ukrainian army has taken back control of the forest near Ivanivske.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces have knocked Russian occupation forces out of the forest south of Bakhmut, the Russians' flanks continue to crumble, reports dialog.ua.

"The Ukrainian Defence Forces have new successes in the Bakhmut direction. The Russians have been repulsed on the southern flank," this information was shared by a fighter of the 24th AFU Aydar Assault Battalion, call sign Osman, on his Telegram channel in the morning of May 19.

"The forest near Ivanivske was taken under full control of the AFU yesterday (May 18 - ed.)," the soldier wrote.

He specified that the Ukrainian military suffered casualties in this operation.

Ivanivske is the southern part of the "pincers" with which the Russians were planning to encircle Bakhmut.

As the website reported, yesterday the Ukrainian assault brigade broke through the western flank of the Russians near Bakhmut.
