Zelensky Posthumously Awards Belarusian Volunteer Eduard Lobau With Order Of Courage

The Belarusian has been fighting for Ukraine's freedom since 2015.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has posthumously awarded Belarusian volunteer Eduard Lobau the Order of Courage.
Belarusian volunteer Eduard Lobau died on 26 January defending Vuhledar. In the last battle he saved the life of the commander. He served in the 72nd separate mechanised brigade, participated in the liberation of the Kyiv region and Chernobyl from the Russian occupiers.
Eduard Lobau is a former prisoner of conscience. He was arrested on 18 December 2010 along with the leader of the Young Front, Zmitser Dashkevich, and unlawfully sentenced to four years in a maximum security colony. Eduard served his sentence in full in the “Wolf's Den” colony.
Eduard Lobau has been fighting in Ukraine since 2015.
In 2014, Charter97.org announced him as the winner of the Viktar Ivashkevich National Award for the Defence of Human Rights.
