The occupiers are forced to deliver ammunition using the “mosquito way”.
Ukrainian Defence Forces near Bakhmut control the logistics of the Russian army to a depth of 70 kilometers behind the front line and systematically destroy enemy ammunition depots. Ivan Timochko from the Armed Forces of Ukraine told Apostrophe about this.
“Bakhmut may soon be surrounded. We generally control the logistics of the invaders up to 70 km deep behind the front line and systematically destroy their ammunition depots. They no longer place their depots at a distance of less than 50 km behind the front line, at least,” Timochko said.
According to him, the occupiers are forced to deliver ammunition in the “mosquito way” when they try to deliver cargo even using conventional vehicles or light armoured vehicles, they still have enough of them.
“Therefore, we have information that, in general, Russian artillery received the command to fire only if they identified the target along the front line if there was electronic warfare support and logistics were established. They already feel a shortage of shells. If earlier they fired chaotically, now it is clear that they are saving munitions, since they no longer have non-stop supplies of ammunition, as before,” the fighter stressed.
He also noted that drones detect any vehicle of the invaders that approaches the front line, and it becomes a convenient target for the Ukrainian army.
“I can’t say that they have really serious problems with munitions. Yes, it is not easy for them to deliver shells, but, if we talk about the east, they have land communication with the Russian Federation and there is an order from Putin to seize the entire territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The Russian command understands that if they fail to comply with the order then one of the generals will be punished,” Timochko said.
