Kadyrov Can't Speak: Secret Video Of Meeting With Zolotov

The head of Chechnya struggled to get every word out.

On 21 September, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, met with the head of the Russian Federal Guard, Viktor Zolotov. On Monday, a video of this meeting was due to be published on Kadyrov's channel, but was rejected because he looked too bad.

The VChK-OGPU project obtained this video. It was filmed in premises next to the fifth building of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Russian Federation, where Kadyrov is hospitalised. Zolotov says the meeting takes place in Rosgvardiya.

"Since the filming was done at the urgent request of the Chechen side, Zolotov clearly does not know what he is talking about. He congratulates Kadyrov on his mother's birthday, which was in early August, and on the republic's birthday, which was in early September. Kadyrov tries to respond, but he can't. At the end of the brief meeting, Kadyrov does begin to speak, but it is clear from the recording that he is struggling to get every word out. He speaks slowly, softly, stammering. And at times he seems to lose his train of thought," the broadcaster writes.

As VCHK-OGPU notes, it is not surprising that the decision was taken not to broadcast the recording. Instead, Kadyrov's channel released a recording of his son Adam beating Nikita Zhuravel in pre-trial detention.

"And almost immediately we learned from Ksenia Sobchak that Kadyrov was 'alive, healthy ... eating cashews'. Apparently, the medicine of the Central Hospital has worked a miracle in four days," the channel adds ironically.
