Drunk Fisherman Bet He Could Walk 50 Kilometers To Minsk

He lost though.

Over the weekend, the Minsk police department received a message: a man was walking along the roadway of the N-8964 highway with obvious signs of intoxication. The police went after him.

“During a conversation with inspectors, the man said that he had drunk while fishing with friends and bet that he could walk 50 kilometers to Minsk,” explained the Minsk Regional Internal Affairs Directorate.

A medical examination showed 3.7 ppm of alcohol in the exhaled air. The inspectors took the 39-year-old man home, police say.

A protocol was drawn up against him under Part 2 of Article 18.20 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus (“Violation of traffic rules by a drunken pedestrian”).
