Putin Won’t Like This: Why Not Everyone In Russia Considers Capturing Avdiivka A Success

The Kremlin is trying to shut the mouth of the families of the mobilized.

The occupation of Avdiivka cost the Russians tens of thousands of dead and wounded military personnel. In Russia, people mostly celebrate the capture of the Ukrainian city, but there are also those who understand how senseless the authorities’ actions were.

Enemy losses in Avdiivka are a huge blow for the Russian army. Russian oppositionist and political analyst Olga Kurnosova told Channel 24 that not everyone understands this.

Putin cares only about himself

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to Vladimir Putin about the capture of Avdiivka. In return, Putin sent a congratulatory telegram to the units that participated in the occupation of the city, and declared gratitude for “excellent military operations.”

However, the military-political leadership of Russia prefers not to mention the price at which the Russians managed to capture the Ukrainian city, focusing only on the fact that there is a new “victory.”

“The larger the territory captured, the better it seems to Putin. He doesn’t care that people died and cities were wiped off the face of the earth. He doesn’t care about others, the main thing is to remain in power indefinitely. This is only what he strives for,” Olga Kurnosova emphasized.

The Russians are also very pleased with the new territorial achievements of their army, although they probably do not even know where it is located or what its military significance is. But the so-called Russian military officers, who understand at least a little about the situation, do not understand why Vladimir Putin put about 50 thousand troops there.

“They understand how significant these losses are. Perhaps it seems to some that all this is nonsense, and no one sees it, but this is because Putin is trying to fill everything with money and shut the mouths of the families of the mobilized,” the analyst noted.

Therefore, sooner or later the information propaganda campaign that was launched in the Kremlin will simply crack. The euphoria from the temporary territorial achievement will be short-lived, and the understanding of losses may soon reach even ordinary Russians.
